Installing a Glazed Demo profile on your XAMPP server is just as easy as installing Drupal itself, follow these easy steps!

1. Install XAMPP Server  

  1. Download the file and make sure it's the version with PHP 7.1 
  2. Follow the steps on the installation process 
  3. After clicking on Finish on the installation, open the XAMPP Control Panel 

2. Enable PHP OpCache 

In order to have a smooth Drupal installation process you will need to enable the PHPOpCache 

  1. Go to the XAMPP folder in your local disk
  2. Open the PHP folder 
  3. Open the php.ini file. If you do not see this, you will need to enable  View All Hidden Items in the folder
  4. Add this line to the end of the document: zend_extension=php_opcache.dll 
  5. Click on Save and close the file 
  6. Go to the XAMPP Control Panel
  7. Stop and Start the Apache and MySQL  

3. Downloading Glazed Demo    

  1. Download the installation profile of your preference from the Sooperthemes page 
  2. Go to the XAMPP folder in your local disk 
  3. Go to the HTDOCS folder 
  4. Import the Glazed zipped folder to the HTDOCS folder and extract the files
  5. Optionally, rename the unzipped folder 
  6. Delete the Glazed zipped folder, since you will no longer be needing it 

4. Create a Database 

  1. Go to the XAMPP Control Panel and Stop/Start the Acaphe and MySQL 
  2. Go to your web browser
  3. Type in localhost in your web browser
  4. Click on the phpMyAdmin tab 
  5. Click on New on the left side to create a new database
  6. Enter the Database name and click on Save Database 
  7. Go to the XAMPP Control Panel and Stop/Start the Acaphe and MySQL 

5. Glazed Demo Installation

  1. Type in localhost/FILENAME in your web browser. The filename is the name of the Glazed folder in the XAMPP folder
  2. Click on the Glazed folder 
  3. Select the Language of your preference 
  4. Fill in the Database name you created 
  5. Fill in username root and leave the password field blank 
  6. Follow the installation process 
  7. Click on Go to website to view!
