In Glazed Builder we are using Entity Browsers for managing and uploading files and images.

Default Entity Browsers in Glazed Builder demo profiles

  • Browser for files
  • Browser for files (modal)
  • Glazed CMS File Browser
  • Glazed CMS Image Browser

Steps to create your own Entity Browser to work with Glazed Builder 

  1. Ensure that Entity Browser module is installed.
  2. Go to Configuration tab.
  3. Select Content authoring.
  4. Click Entity Browsers.
  5. The list of Entity Browsers provides ability of editing them or creating a new once.
  6. Click the Add Entity Browser button to create new browser.
  7. Add label for the new browser.
  8. Optionally, choose how the entity browser should be presented to the end users in Display block. Choose either the, Modal or iFrame view mode.
  9. Optionally, choose Widget Selector plugin in Widget Selector field for switching between Uploading widget and Display widget.
  10. Optionally, change Selection Display plugin settings in Selection Display block.
  11. Go to Widget Settings tab.
  12. Optionally, choose a widget to add in Add widget plugin select list.
  13. Once you’ve selected your preferred settings, you can click on Save and you're done!

You can also copy the file_browser module from the profiles/cms/modules/contrib folder in our profiles, we patched it with some additional usability features.

Follow the steps below to change Entity Browser for Glazed Builder in your website:

  1. Go to the Configuration tab.

  2. Click Content Authoring.
  3. Select Glazed Builder from the list.
  4. Find Media Browser tab.
  5. Now you can change Entity Browser from default to your favorite one.
  6. Once you’ve selected your preferred settings, you can click on Save and you're done!
