Sooper DropDownKit

Sooper DropdownKit uses the homemade SooperFish plugin to power animated dropdown menus. The menu is controlled via theme settings and Drupals’ menu system.
Here is a mini-tutorial to set it up:

  1. Go the the List Menus page at example.com/admin/build/menu/list and click on Primary links
  2. Use the add item tab on top to create menu links in the primary menu
  3. Back at the Primary links page, check the Expanded checkboxes next to menu items that have submenus. This will make sure the submenus show on every page of your website.

Now your menu should be working. If you notice that submenus are only showing if you click on their parent menu items, go back to step 3.

Once you get the menu working, you might want to tweak the animation settings. This is done at the theme settings form at example.com/admin/build/themes/settings/themename . The theme settings are all have short explanations but if you need some help just send an email for support!

The menu is excellent, but now on first view you can't see which menu item has children items in your dropdown.
In the example of the Syan template it is like I want it. You see in the menu which items have children because of the little arrow next to it. So even with a mouse over it drops down, you don't need to click.

How can I customize this ?

thanks

already found it ...

Hi, the theme looks great but upon install i have had a few problems:

drop-down menu does not appear as it does in the Demo (must click on category in order for children to appear on hover)

also there is no small triangle appearing under the link choices as in demo

also: the color module does not seem to effect the theme

& is there a way to adjust the content text size?

Issues with CKEditor Left alignment too.

Please advise.

David

Hi,

you need to tell Drupal which submenus you want to show globally on your website, you do this at the primary menu settings at example.com/admin/build/menu by checking the expanded box for the parent items of submenus you want to display.

Regarding your other questions I will reply to the email you sent me and we'll see what is up.

That fixed the drop down issue. Thanks for responding quickly too!

I managed to fix the other issues ass well, I just have 2 more issues.

Animate navigation marker: When set to yes, I still don't see the marker like in the demo site.

Also The "fixed width" option does not want to work for me. Seems to stay on elastic for some reason. Even after flushing the cache. Any ideas?

Thanks,

D.

I am unable to disable the dropdown kit. Even though it is unchecked in the theme settings, it is still giving me hover menus.
